AnimalSave’s third “A Furry, Furry Night” fund raising event at the AnimalSave Center, held on Saturday, July 9 was a “howling” success with 160 folks attending. The evening weather was perfect and the stars brilliant. The atmosphere with café lights and beautifully appointed tables, the wonderful dinner prepared by Christopher’s, libations and music by Dream and The Dreamer could not have been better. Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer, John Renwick, kept the crowd entertained and bidding for the animals.
Organized by the Friends of AnimalSave Committee, the event included a very successful live and silent auction with items donated by local businesses and was dedicated to the thousands of dogs and cats AnimalSave has rescued and re-homed over the past seventeen years.
We are very thankful to our generous sponsors, Diana Bailey, Robert and Carol Hamilton, The Union, Brunswick Veterinary Clinic, Pleasant Valley Veterinary Center, Sue Schwarz, Four Paws Animal Clinic, Leo & Gayle Granucci, ‘Pootie’ & ‘Swizzle’ Mortensen, SPD Markets, Dennis & Linda Burbridge, Caliber Collision, Larry & Judi Hirtzel, Incredible Pets, Dr. James Lee, Clare McDowell, Olympia Mortgage & Investment Company, Sikes Realty, Adventure Travel, B&C True Value Home and Garden Center, Barbara Law, Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital, and Peters Drilling and Pump Service.
Proceeds from “A Furry, Furry Night” will help fund AnimalSave's animal rescue and welfare programs. AnimalSave's primary programs include the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic that has altered over 15,000 dogs and cats over the past eight years and its Foster/Adoption Program that rescues and finds homes for over 250 dogs and cats each year.
